ABOUT US
Our bespoke design service is completely free. Any out-of-pocket expenses, such as those for an on-site visit, are excluded.
Real solid wood. Designed to last. Crafted as a one-off piece.
BB Design Milano was founded on a simple belief: solid wood should be understood, carefully selected and expertly worked, rather than imitated.
At our workshop in Molteno, in the heart of Brianza, we design and make bespoke furniture, doors, tables, bookcases, bathroom furniture and architectural elements. Many projects begin with a practical need: unusual dimensions, a particular wood species, a custom finish or a space for which no suitable standard solution exists.
Craftsmanship for contemporary spaces
We bring together traditional woodworking skills, contemporary design and a considered use of technology. Solid wood can be combined with steel, glass, integrated lighting and bespoke hardware, while always remaining the central material.
Oak, elm, olive, cedar, walnut, ash, chestnut, beech and Swiss stone pine each have their own character. Grain, knots and natural colour variations are not defects: they express the authenticity of the wood and make every piece unique.
Bespoke, from the first conversation to the finished piece
A product from our catalogue can be the starting point. Wherever technically possible, we adapt dimensions, materials, finishes and construction, or develop a solution specifically for the customer's space.
More complex projects may begin with photographs, drawings or room measurements. Before production, we carefully agree on dimensions, materials, construction, finishes and technical details.
Responsible material choices
We work exclusively with carefully selected, certified solid wood boards. We favour durable, repairable, made-to-measure products, reducing unnecessary material waste.
Essenza Milano — Design & Manufacturing
Essenza Milano brings together the complementary skills of three independent Italian businesses working in design, wood craftsmanship and manufacturing. It is a shared project and an operational network: each business retains its own legal identity.
